Model Matzah Bakery - Chanukah Olive Press - Lulav Workshop
Shofar Factory – Torah Scribal Arts Workshop

Rabbi Yisroel Fried and his Mitzvah Team are available to visit your school, Synagogue, Hebrew School or preschool with his acclaimed experiential Mitzvah Workshops. Slated throughout the year, you can bring the holidays alive for your students and congregants in a fun, hands-on way. We can come to your location or you can bring your group to our location.

Shofar Shofar Factory | Tuesday, September 6 -
Monday, October 10, 2016
Students create their own Shofar from start to finish and are introduced to the finer points of Shofar blowing. In addition, the Shofar Factory features a wide variety of horns and antlers for the children to explore.
For children ages 3 – 13. Cost: $8.75 per student.
If each child wants to make an individual Shofar, the cost is $17 per student.

olive oil.jpgOlive Oil Press Demo | Monday, November 28, 2016 -  Monday, January 2, 2017

This demonstration uses a primitive oil oil press and takes the children from selecting the olives to producing oil to light the Menorah, much like the Israelites in the time of the Temple did. The process allows the children to see and feel fresh olives, build the olive press themselves, press the olives and produce oil. In addition there will be an arts and crafts project where each child can create his or her own Chanukah craft.

For children ages 3 – 13. Cost: $9.25 per student.

Model Matzah Bakery | Friday, March 10 – Friday, April 7, 2017

The popular Model Matzah Bakery gives each child the chance to make his or her own Matzah, as did our ancestors over 3,300 years ago and have continued to do every year since. From mixing the flour and the water to rolling the dough to baking the Matzahs, each child will be able to participate in every stage of the process. In addition, every student takes wheat stalks, threshes and winnows them and grinds the wheat into flour with our authentic hand mill. At the end of the (approximately) one hour tour, all children will receive a hand baked Passover Shmura Matzah made in Israel.
For children ages 3 – 13. Cost: $9.25 per student.
