First Day of Shavuot, Sunday, May 20
at Chabad of the West Side

  Shacharit 9:45 a.m.
  Chabad Kids Shul Service 10:45 – 11:15 a.m.
Reading of Ten Commandments approx. 11:15 a.m.

***The Rebbe’s Personal Request for Shavuot: The Rebbe has emphasized many times that at Mount Sinai all Jewish people were present, including (and especially) children, who acted as our guarantors. Every year, when the story of the giving of the Torah is read on Shavuot, we re-experience that Sinai Revelation. Therefore, it is important that all men, women and children (of ALL ages) be in the synagogue for the reading of the 10 Commandments on the 1st day of Shavuot. ***

Followed by Grand Ice Cream Party for kids of all ages!

The Ice Cream Party is graciously sponsored by Diane and Henry Watkin, in honor of the yahrtzeits of Diane's father, Katriel ben Meir and Henry's aunt, Rosina bat Avshai, and by Drs. Bertie and Rachel Bregman.
