Chabad of the West Side
We raised $27,155 for Chabad of the West Side!
Dear CELC and Tamim parents and Chabad Shul Community members,
Due to the ongoing war in Israel and the ensuing security threat to Jewish institutions worldwide, we have temporarily added an armed guard at the front door of Chabad during all regular and extended school hours and peak Shul times. We will also have a standard guard posted during off-peak services and events on the weekends.
The cost of hiring this guard for 12 weeks is $30,000.
An additional $25,000 is needed to cover additional security costs for new access control equipment, video cameras and other costs accumulated over the past 5 weeks for added security.
Total amount needed through February 29, 2024 is $55,000
A $240 minimum donation is requested per family of CELC, Tamim and The Chabad Shul. That is $20 per week, per family, for 12 weeks. That will help us get to 50% of the total needed for this campaign.
And to all our friends in the community at large, we ask that you consider contributing to this vital cause; any contribution helps and will be greatly appreciated.
This is a communal need and therefore we must all as a community band together and support this important effort.
