For the past 16 years, Chabad Family Programs has been led by the iconic power couple Rabbi Chayim and Sarah Alevsky. When family duty called them away to Cleveland Ohio in 2023, their daughter and son-in-law, Shayna and Eliyahu Sapo joined the team as the new co-directors.
They are working closely together for this transitional time period.
Meet Eliyahu and Shayna!
Eliyahu grew up in Southern California and is still getting used to New York weather. He is passionate about Jewish values, helping others, and connecting with fellow Jews. Shayna (Alevsky) grew up on the Upper West Side since age 11. She has taught at the local Kivun and Hebrew School. She enjoys programming, design and exploring the city with their two sons.
