Using an experiential approach, we focus on Jewish values, practice, community and joy as the foundation for a strong Jewish identity.
Our year is full of exciting events for children and their families! Clubs, Shabbat programming, Holiday celebrations and community-wide celebrations are just some of what CFP offers.
Chabad Family Programs UWS’ mission is to reach out to Jewish families on the West Side to create a warm and welcoming community where they can explore and experience their Jewish tradition. We offer quality Jewish educational experiences, holiday celebrations and more, to families and children ages 5 - 13.
Our goal is to help children establish a loving, warm and positive relationship with their Judaism, and to connect them to their next step in their Jewish lives by working together with CTeen UWS.
We also help craft a personal Bar and Bat Mitzvah journey for each child that chooses to learn and celebrate this special day with us.
Our large scale community events like Chanukah on Ice in Central Park bring together Jewish families from every walk of life, and many of our programs like our Camp Gan Izzy in the City, girl scouts, after-school enrichment clubs, Chabad Hebrew School,Friendship Circle, SPARKSLAB, and our boys clubs encourage participation and communication between children and families from different backgrounds to learn and have fun together. Everyone is welcome at Chabad Family Programs!
